It was during THAT hearing that the former breeder left the witness stand during her testimony, and maintained a constant dialogue with her attorney.
For the appeal she not only had a new demeanor, she also had a new lawyer.
But the result was the same... as the court upheld the decision to take away her animals.

Carol Alfano, the head basketball coach of the Virginia Tech women's team for the past 19 years has been informed that she is no longer wanted at the University.

Alfano's current four year contract expires on June 30th, and that will be her last day on the job.
Alfano's teams won 278 games and lost 262 in her nearly two decades of service.
In a two years spans from 1993 through 1195 the Hokies won 46 games, but they slipped to 10-and-21 this season with a team that was hurt by injuries.
Athletic director Dave Braine says it is time to move in a new direction.
He says a search for her successor will begin immediately.

For next week or so, The comet is visible to the naked eye right before sunrise, low in the Eastern Sky.

From March 20th to the 22nd, The comet will move higher in the twilight sky.
And the real show begins March 24th and lasts until April 10th.
ON those days, the comet will be very easily found in the Northwest sky, just after dark.
