Circuit Court... as she appealed a January ruling that gave custody of her 120
dogs and cats to the Humane Society.
It was during THAT hearing that the former breeder left the witness stand
during her testimony, and maintained a constant dialogue with her attorney.
For the appeal she not only had a new demeanor, she also had a new lawyer.
But the result was the same... as the court upheld the decision to take away
her animals.

The COURT must ultimately decide whether they'll be adopted, sold, or

the past 19 years has been informed that she is no longer wanted at the
University.

Alfano's current four year contract expires on June 30th, and that will be
her last day on the job.
Alfano's teams won 278 games and lost 262 in her nearly two decades of
service.

Athletic director Dave Braine says it is time to move in a new direction.

This digital image of the comet was captured by a Virginia Tech Astronomer
just before dawn this weekend.
For next week or so, The comet is visible to the naked eye right before
sunrise, low in the Eastern Sky.
After dark, the comet won't be as bright-- and will only be visible for an
hour or so in the Northwest Sky.
From March 20th to the 22nd, The comet will move higher in the twilight sky.
And the real show begins March 24th and lasts until April 10th.
ON those days, the comet will be very easily found in the Northwest sky, just
after dark.
