In about two hours last night the Hardy Road Civic Center in Bedford County turned into a pile of rubble.

No one was injured in the blaze.
The community center is located right next to the volunteer fire department on Route 760 in Hardy.
Firefighters were concerned the fire station would also ignite, so they hosed down their own building.
