Angelo Harrison was the only one of seven Virginia Tech football players
charged with a felony after a campus fight last August.
He was suspended from the team for the season.
Today, Montgomery County circuit judge Ray Grubbs found him NOT guilty.
Harrison was accused of breaking track athlete Hilliard Sumner's collarbone.
Sumner identified Harrison as the person who attacked him with a cane.
But other witnesses disputed that, including football player Tyron Edmond,
who is charged with a misdemeanor.
((DID YOU SEE ANGELO HARRISON THAT EVENING?
EDMOND: YES I DID.
DID HE EVER HAVE THE CANE?
EDMOND: NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE.
YOU HAD IT THE ENTIRE TIME?
EDMOND: YES SIR. ))

The judge ruled the evidence failed to prove Harrison's involvement.

Armed with a jug of gasoline and a cigarette, a man chained himself to a
bench in protest outside Roanoke's Poff Federal building this morning.
Federal officials would not identify the man, but say he was upset about a
property issue and was apparently threatening to set himself on fire.
The Federal Probation office says, the Wythe County man was on probation
several years ago.
His former probation officer talked him into unlocking the chain.
He was escorted into the building, and later released.

A 37 million dollar school bond issue failed in Roanoke County last April.
