The second round of the N.I.T. began play last night at on-campus sites.
And one of those was on Tobacco Road in Raleigh as N.C. State hosted West Virginia.

West Virginia led by one at halftime, and then went up by as many as 11 in the second half thanks to plays like this one from Jared West.
But State would come back as it has all year long. Ishua Benjamin strokes the three pointer from the left side to get State back within four points at the 6 minute mark.
State would have a shot to tie the game and send it to overtime with a

three, but Benjamin's shot bounces off and West Virginia escapes with the 76-to-73 win.
