As a Danville National Guard unit adjusts to life in Bosnia, a warning comes
from the militia movement in Virginia to guardsmen and reserve members overseas
AND here at home.

The Virginia Citizens Militia says it's an umbrella organization for scores
of local militia groups statewide.
Its main point of public contact is a site on the World Wide Web.
That site carries a warning for National Guard and Army Reserve members: do
NOT leave the country... serving overseas is a trap from the New World Order.
A spokesman from Roanoke says the warning's in response to three or four
letters the militia gets a week from Virginians serving overseas.

The Danville Guard Unit is currently in Bosnia.
A Reserve unit from Salem is assisting the Bosnia mission in Germany.
He killed his wife and another couple--now a Halifax County man will spend
the rest of his life in prison.
Today a judge sentenced Raleigh Dean Martin to life plus 48- years.
Martin was convicted last year of shooting and killing his wife, Marion, with
their young daughter in the house.
That same night, prosecutors say Martin shot and killed a couple who lived
Authorities say Joseph Siffert, Junior and his girlfriend Barbara Hackney
were shot and killed in front of their infant daughter. The girl was not hurt.
A farewell to rap singer Biggie Smalls-
The Notrious B-I-G became a platinum record seller rapping about his past-
which he said including dealing crack in Brooklyn.
Today friends family and fans came out for his funeral.

Biggie Smalls' real name was Christopher Wallace.
The 24 year old was killed nine days ago in an unsolved drive-by shooting in
Anthony Lake took his name out of the running for CIA Director saying the

An earthquake rocked parts of Southern California this morning-
The five-point-four quake was centered near Barstow- a desert town 100 miles
from Los Angeles.

Patient Care has not been compromised since the top two administrators at
the Salem V-A Medical Center have been put on administrative leave--
That's according to Alma Lee, the president of the union that represents
workers at the hospital.
While John Presley and William Delameter are off the job, Lee says the union
has "the greatest confidence" in the current acting director, Dr. Rajiv Jain
Lee says the union has experienced only "routine disagreements" with
Presley, but has had numerous problems with Delameter.
The little town that could has won its most important battle.
This morning, before a standing- room- only crowd, the Botetourt County
Board of Supervisors accepted the Virginia Department of Transportation's
proposal that will save the Eagle Rock bridge.
Town residents said its been a long time coming... but well worth the wait.

It will cost between two-to-three million dollars to replace the bridge.
Under the agreement, the state and the county will split that cost.
VDOT plans to close the bridge within the next month... but it could take
years before the structure is rebuilt.
Until the project is complete, Route 43 will provide the only access to and

other than NASCAR. Last year racing souvenirs and memorabilia topped the $500
million dollar mark. This summer Kenner plans to jump on the band wagon with a

Charlotte, and he is confident the drivers will attract new collectors who have

Jean, the Danville unit carries a lot of responsibility.
But the group's main job is to ensure if a NATO Battalion needs to fire at a
particular target they have the correct location.
The 46- man unit arrived in Bosnia earlier this month after extensive
