A Halifax County judge today sentenced Raleigh Dean Martin to life in prison plus 48- years.
Martin was convicted last year of shooting and killing his wife, Marion, at their home.
Prosecutors say the same night, Martin killed a couple who lived nearby.
Joseph Siffert, Junior and his girlfriend Barbara Hackney were found dead in their home.
Authorities say the couple's infant daughter was also in the house, but wasn't harmed.

A West Virginia man accused of shooting his parents to death as they slept was arrested today in Hillsville.
A driver spotted 21 year old James Drake walking along the northbound lanes of Interstate 77 and called police.
Drake's sister, Lisa, told police he shot their parents early yesterday, hours after arguing with them over an automated bank card that Drake had stolen from one of his sisters.
Drake is being held in the Carroll County jail.

Roanoke has set aside 5 million dollars for a new interchange on Interstate 581.
The new exit would relieve congestion on Hershberger Road and funnel traffic directly to Valley View Mall.
