A North Carolina inventor is hoping his fledgling company will always fly by
the seat of its pants.

SUPER=03-Hickory, NC;
That's because Hal Baxter makes blue jeans specially designed to protect
motorcyclists.
When a biker skids he has little protection for his backside.
Denim Jeans or expensive leather pants offer some security, but not a lot.
So Baxter designed a pair a jeans with a Kevlar lining...that's the same
material bullet proof vests are made of.
But to test his creation, Baxter had to put more than just his assets on the
line.
Wearing a pair of jeans that were half Kevlar and half leather, he was pulled
across a parking lot on his backside.
After the test, the Kevlar side held up while the leather and denim wore
through.
Baxter hopes all this will lead to a healthy bottom line for both his company
and bikers alike.
