Cole's first-degree murder trial is still under way in Hillsville this evening.

A man from Mercer County- -accused of killing his parents- -will soon be on his way back to West Virginia.
Jamie Drake was arrested a couple of days ago WALKING along Interstate 77 near Hillsville.
Drake waived his extradition hearing today in Carroll County and is already on his back to Mercer County.
Sheriff Harold Buckner says Drake fatally shot his parents with a high-powered rifle as they slept.
He's also allegedly shot his sister.

(( It's been more than eighteen months since heavy rains washed out the Timber Lake dam, killing two people downstream and leaving residents high and dry for two straight summers.
But through a homeowner- financing plan, residents have raised more than 800- thousand dollars to rebuild the dam.. and their community.
Those who designed and constructed the new dam say this one is built to last: the top of the dam itself is a huge spillway, that allows excess water to flow over it, but not collapse it.
It's also more solid: more than a thousand cubic yards of concrete on top of tons of red clay.
