In Israel, a suicide bomber set off a bomb this morning that ripped through
a Tel Aviv cafe.
The blast killed at least three people, including the bomber, and wounded
close to fifty.

Fresh off a tobacco company's admission that cigarettes are addictive,
California is unveiling a multi million-dollar ad assault on the tobacco
Yesterday The Liggett Group agreed to settle 22 state lawsuits by admitting
cigarettes can cause cancer, are addictive, and that the tobacco industry
targets teen smokers.
Liggett's competitors, meanwhile, have won a temporary restraining order
keeping secret some Liggett documents detailing industry- wide discussions of
tobacco dangers and marketing.
Even though Liggett admits it marketed a deadly and addictive product to
Virginia Attorney General -- and candidate for governor -- Jim Gilmore says he
still has NO plans to sue any tobacco companies.
Meantime, anti-smoking activists say they're not surprised the Liggett Group

The misdemeanor was filed this week against center Alvaro Tor.
He's accused of having a stolen license plate in his possession.

A Virginia Tech student who accused two Tech football players of rape is no
longer facing a 32-million dollar lawsuit.
Brian Edmonds and James Crawford had accused the woman of extortion and
defamation, but they have dropped their suit.
An attorney for the players said one of them plans to refile the case after
the N-F-L draft.
The players face rape and attempted sodomy charges in an incident that
followed a December party.
The 19- year- old woman said Edmonds and Crawford took turns holding her
down and raping her.
The man accused of killing his girlfriend's toddler pleaded guilty
Steven Wayne Cole was being tried for first degree murder in the death of
two- year- old Joshua Blevins.
Cole told police he was high on drugs when he shoved the child into a wall.
During testimony, Cole agreed to plead guilty to SECOND degree murder.

State police cleared two local officers of claims they used excessive force.
Neither Bedford County Sheriff's Lieutenant John McCain nor Glasgow Town
Sergeant Leonard Stewart will face charges.
Charges against the man Stewart arrested, Gary Gibson have also been

Amnesty days on April 11th and 12th.
