The Moon slipped into Earth's shadow resulting in a nearly full lunar
eclipse for almost two hours.
It actually turned out to be a triple treat for star- gazers and backyard
astronomers, the comet was visible after sundown followed later by the eclipse
and because the Earth is between Mars and the sun, the red planet was extra
bright.

has employees celebrating milestone.

The "Kiwanis Club of Danville Foundation" is one of the center's biggest
supporters.
The foundation donated 50- thousand dollars to the Danville facility.
Half of the money will be used to bring a new exhibit to the center-- the
other half will go toward establishing a computer lab.
The Kiwanis Club had already donated 200- thousand dollars to the facility.
The recent donation takes the science center over the one million dollar
fund-raising mark.
