On December 22nd, the D-C-8 cargo plane was TAKEN on a test run.
It took off from Greensboro, North Carolina and was headed to Ohio.
Problems started just minutes into the flight. After a half-hour in the
air, SUPER=03-Giles Co./December 1996;
it slammed head-on into East River Mountain near Narrows... killing all six
people on board.
The docket contains a detailed summary of the flight as well as the
conversation between the pilot and the flight tower.
But at this point, the NTSB has NOT released the cause of the crash.

At a bond hearing today, investigators said one of the kidnapping suspects
molested the six-year old up to three times.
They say he may have attacked the nine-year old too.
A Daytona Beach police officer testified today that six year old Jessica
Hainer told him suspect Ronald Stafford molested her.
The officer says doctors also found evidence of abuse.
An FBI agent testified Stafford told him he kidnapped the children because
he was worried about their welfare while in their father's custody.
Stafford used to babysit the girls.
