Negotiations paid off last night for Roanoke police in a standoff in Old
Southwest.
Police were prepared for the worst, but the situation was resolved quietly
after Ernie J. Henderson was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

There he raked in 50- thousand dollars in campaign donations at a company
fundraiser -- including 20-thousand from Philip Morris itself.
