It's burning near Dragon's Tooth on the Craig County/Roanoke County line.

The 27 year- old school custodian died on impact, leaving his family,

him with a SECOND D-U-I.

Michael Sandoe (SAN-doe) was the president of his high school class, a

The 53 year old wife faces charges of verbal and physical abuse of a
Just when you thought the Valery Green animal controversy was over... a new
twist to the story.
A few weeks ago, the former Franklin County breeder was found guilty of
mistreating her more than one-hundred dogs and cats.
But now Green's teenage son has sent a letter to members of the Humane
Society stating HE owned the animals... not his mother.
He's demanding that all of the dogs and cats be returned to his possesion.
But that will be nearly impossible.
Every dog taken from the Green property already has a permanent home.
There are still about two dozen cats that have not been adopted.
Officials say up to this point, the process has been fairly smooth.

(( Fiberoptics and digital compression give cable companies many more
channels to fill.
A Cox Communication spokesperson says they have no problem carrying all
local stations along with other cable programming.
But in some areas, the ruling does eliminate the pressure to drop local
stations with smaller audiences in favor of more popular cable offerings.
For many small broadcasters, especially public television stations, the
ruling still brings some peace of mind.

The station manager for religious broadcaster WEFC said if Must Carry
"It would have put us at the mercy of the cable systems, It could have been
pretty detrimental to our operation here."
The ruling improves the outlook for programs like News Seven Prime-time,

One big question that remains... should direct satellite broadcasters have
