The 27 year- old school custodian died on impact, leaving his family, especially his boys struggling with the loss.

But what's even harder for Burton's family to understand is what they see as a lack of remorse on the part of the other driver, 23 year- old Timothy Scott Chaffin.
Chaffin was freed on bond after the accident, in which is blood alcohol content was .19, more than twice the legal limit.
Less than two months later on March 15th, Floyd County authorities charged him with a SECOND D-U-I.

A few weeks ago, the former Franklin County breeder was found guilty of mistreating her more than one-hundred dogs and cats.
But now Green's teenage son has sent a letter to members of the Humane Society stating HE owned the animals... not his mother.
He's demanding that all of the dogs and cats be returned to his possesion.
But that will be nearly impossible.

A Cox Communication spokesperson says they have no problem carrying all local stations along with other cable programming.
But in some areas, the ruling does eliminate the pressure to drop local stations with smaller audiences in favor of more popular cable offerings.
For many small broadcasters, especially public television stations, the ruling still brings some peace of mind.

Much maligned Washington Redskins free agent quarterback Heath Shuler is ready to go marching in the with the Saints in New Orleans.

The Saints and Shuler have reportedly agreed to a four tear contract
And that's good news for Washington fans because now the Skins will have to be compensated.
The Skins want a first or second round pick in this coming April's draft.
And right now the two sides are fighting over just what the compensation for Shuler will be.
The Saints have assured Shuler he will have a fair chance to compete for the starting job.

((The Russian cadet team worked out at Hollins College Monday morning, finalizing a game plan that will hopefully top Virginia's Gold select 17 and under stars. The Russians also tried their moves at Valley View Mall. While money is tight, some things are just plain worth it. ((:))
