Nearly two years after a bomb destroyed the Oklahoma City federal building, the trial of one of the accused bombers began today in Denver.
Twenty-eight- year- old Timothy McVeigh stands accused of detonating the bomb that killed 168 and injured more than 500.
Among the dead were 19 children.
The selection of the jury began about an hour ago.
Lawyers will try to assemble a panel of 12 jurors and six alternates from a pool of about one- thousand.
The process is expected to take two weeks.
Prospective jurors will be asked if they would consider the death penalty as punishment, also what they've heard in the news about McVeigh.

Jury trials, like the Oklahoma bombing trial, have dropped in Virginia by almost 60 percent.
The drop is tied to sentencing guidelines and the elimination of parole.
Before the state abolished parole, five percent of all criminal cases were tried by jury.
That number is down to 2-point-2 percent.
Under the new sentencing guidelines, offenders must serve at least 85 percent of their sentence.
