Good evening, this is News 7 Primetime.
I'm Connie Stevens.
There were 13 children on Montgomery County bus number one when the crash
happened this afternoon.
State police say 59 year old Linette Schug of Blacksburg apparently failed
to negotiate a curve on Bishop Road. Her Toyota Camry narrowly missed a
head-on collision with the school bus.
Schug died at the scene.
The students were on their way home from Blacksburg Middle School and
Blacksburg High School.
A 12 year- old girl who was riding in the front seat of the bus was taken to
the hospital and treated for minor injuries.
All of the other students were released to their parents.

It was apparently a losing bet for those who support the idea of casino
gambling at the Greenbrier resort in West Virginia.
After a day-long debate, state legislature leaders are acknowledging there
aren't enough votes to pass it.
SUPER=03-W. Sulphur Springs;
The Greenbrier wants to build a Monte Carlo style casino to attract more
guests and fill rooms during the winter.
Greenbrier President Ted Kleisner (KLY-snur) said the hotel would not
object if most of the gambling profits went to state and local governments.
But tomorrow is the deadline for West Virginia lawmakers to act, so it now
appears the gambling legislation will fail to win approval this year.
