Nine years after an Amherst County jury sentenced him to die, convicted
killer Douglas Buchanan (byoo-cannon) is scheduled to be executed tonight.

Buchanan was 19 when he shot and stabbed to death his father, stepmother and
two stepbrothers in their Naola home in September of 1987.
After a six-day trial the following April, Buchanan received the death
penalty for his crimes.
Commonwealth's attorney Ed Meeks prosecuted the case. He says justice was
served.

But that trend may be changing.
A few weeks ago, a puppy was found inside a fence at her home.
The discovery came after a judge told her she could no longer own any dogs
or cats.

their periods started on average, at age 12, secondary sexual characteristics
developed much earlier.
The mean age for normal breast development was "eight-point-eight-seven"

The study also suggests that racial
differences can be important.
At age EIGHT, while only 14.7 percent have breasts or body hair
development, 48-percent or better of African American girls already have such
developments, so parents shouldn't necessarily compare their daughter's
