During a welcoming ceremony, the pope urged the spiritual rebuilding of minds and hearts to heal the wounds of war.

Attorney General Jim Gilmore says he has placed his tobacco holdings in a blind trust and will leave them there throughout his term if his bid for governor is successful.
Republican Gilmore's holdings in Philip Morris Company stock have made him an easy target for Democrats.

Last month, he flew to New York for a fund-raiser at which Philip Morris raised 50-thousand dollars for his campaign.
Democrats say the trust doesn't change the fact Gilmore still has a conflict of interest by owning the stock while deciding state stances on tobacco.
Gilmore says his rulings on tobacco matters have been made on behalf of farmers and others who work in tobacco, the state's largest cash crop.

They found a nine millimeter semiautomatic handgun and 400 dollars worth of crack cocaine, which was described as packaged and ready for sale. Also seized--50 dollars worth each of L-S-D and marijuana.
19 year old Jeremy Lester of New Castle and a 17 year old passenger were both charged with possession with intent to distribute. The unidentified 17 year old was also charged with possession of a firearm with a controlled substance.
