The westbound lanes of Interstate 64 over Afton Mountain were closed after a rock slide.
The road was closed for 16 hours, and traffic had to be detoured.
The highway department reopened the lanes yesterday after a geologist checked out the conditions.
The rock slide happened about Saturday night. No one was hurt, and no cars were damaged.
