Thomasville Furniture is closing its Brookneal plant.
As News-7 reported yesterday, the closing effects a factory that's been in operation since 1977, and currently employs about 320 people.
All that will change by the end of June, when the plant will shut its doors for good.

Altavista authorities say two teens killed by a train last night may have been dodging ANOTHER train when they were hit.

The accident happened just before six on these tracks about a half mile from downtown.
17- year- old Richard Lancaster of Campbell County and 18- year- old Kevin Childress of Pittsylvania County died instantly after being struck by a southbound Norfolk Southern train.
Police say the teens had just crossed the tracks in front of a NORTHbound train and may not have heard the other train coming.
Apparently, many people use the tracks as a shortcut to downtown.
