Police say a pick up truck rear ended the car eleven- year- old Allison Brittany Fullen was riding in after it pulled out onto route 24 and then stalled.
Fullen was pronounced dead at Roanoke Community Hospital.

Police say Monica Ruth Stevens of Troutville was speeding on Alleghany Springs Road when she lost control of her car.
The 18- year- old ran off the right side of the road, then overcorrected and veered off the left side of the road.
The car hit a tree and overturned.
Stevens died at the scene.

In and around London today, a series of bomb threats is paralyzing land and air travel.
No explosions have been reported but the bomb threats have affected airports in the region, including Heathrow International.
Threats have also been made against Major rail and subway stations and highways.
There have been no claims of responsibility for today's threats.
But the Irish Republican Army admitted it was behind similar threats on Friday, which disrupted traffic in NORTHERN England.

Seventy-five foot flames melted a hotel sign after a car crashed into a Natural Gas Station in Blacksburg yesterday.
Police say 21- year- old Gerald Close lost control of his car on South Main and crashed into the gas station.
Close and his passenger, Virginia Tech student Maria Goldsby suffered multiple injuries and burns.

Some Virginia Tech students were out pounding the pavement yesterday in support of Leonard Peltier (pel-TEER)--a Native American prisoner.
Peltier is serving two life sentences for the 19-75 murder of two government agents in South Dakota.
But, some consider him to be a political prisoner.
Yesterday, the Native American Program, a student organization at Virginia Tech, held a rally and march through part of Blacksburg.
The group is hoping the event will spark a flood of letters to the President demanding that Peltier be pardoned.
