They say keeping silt out of lake during construction is of paramount importance.
Utilities are another concern. The lake region has no central water supply.
A suggestion offered early and often was the creation of a "LAKE REGION" that would have uniform laws and codes.

A disagreement between Rocky Mount and Franklin County over water and sewer is not only hurting new business but may have cost the region its Economic Development Director.
Greg Cross... who spent just three- and a half months on the job has resigned.

A Richmond man has entered a no contest plea for first degree murder rather than face trial.
Eddie Gibson, was one of three men charged with killing Elmer Eugene Fisher last September in Pulaski County.

Two Tenesse brothers face attempted armed robbery charges in connection with a bomb threat a Roanoke Kroger store.
50- year- old Donnie Davis and his 54- year- old brother Leo were picked up Friday.

On that same day the store manager at the Hollins Kroger reported a man came into his store, demanded money and said he had a homemade bomb.
The manager told the man to wait while he got some cash, he then snuck out of the store and called police.
The man drove off in a car that matched the one the Davis brothers were driving that night.
A state trooper in Smyth County spotted the car and apprehended the brothers.
