Norfolk Southern is making some changes at its Roanoke shops, affecting
about 85 workers.
The railroad is reducing the number of coal cars it rebuilds, from 12 to 6

Several of the employees involved will be moving to the locomotive shops; a
handfull will shift to the transportation department.
That leaves about 60 workers, who will probably be shifted to train
inspections.
