Most of the proposed cuts in staffing and programs were NOT finalized

million dollars to keep the schools afloat until June 30th.
Board members say if they get that money they may not have to cut as much
next year.

Last night the Cubs beat the Expos 5-to-2.
Today both teams came out swinging for the ivy covered wall from the opening
pitch.
That's Darrin Fletcher bashing one into the seats in deep center field to
make it 4-to-nothing with one out in the first.
Henry Rodriguez then steps up and rips this Steve Traschal pitch over the
center field fence again, and it's 5-to-nothing Expos.
But Brooks Kieschnick would rally the Cubs with this 2 run homer off Jim
Bullinger to make it a 5-to-3 game.
Rodriguez would homer again in the third, but Kieschnick would come back with
his second homer of the game - a SUPER=35-Montreal/8/Chicago/14/;
three run blast to right.
It hits a building and the Cubs beat the Expos 14-to-8.
