Both were transferred from the Salem V-A hospital, after an investigation into unspecified charges.
Officials from the Department of Veterans Affairs will be in Salem next month to continue looking into the case.
Dr. Rajiv (Jane) Jain will continue as the acting director of the Salem V-A.
