The education budget continues to haunt Bedford Coutny school board members, as they try to create a solution with the four million dollar cutbacks that face them.

(( Before they could work on next year's budget, school board members had to decide how they were going to pay THIS year's bills.
They'll be asking the Bedford County board of supervisors for an additional 2- point- 2 million dollars to keep the school system afloat through June.
Essentially what the board wants to do is get one month ahead on its bill payments... if they get that extra money now, they might not have to cut as much from next year's budget.

A Christiansburg man was trapped in his car for nearly half an hour following a slow speed police chase last night.

On the way, his duffel is accidentally switched with that of Charlie--played by newcomer Andy Comeau--a young medical student en route to visit his girlfriend--Kristy Swanson--and her disapproving parents...George Hamilton and Dyan Cannon.
The rest of the movie consists of Pesci trying to find Charlie...who is trying to keep the heads out of sight or get rid of them.

Most of the proposed cuts in staffing and programs were NOT finalized last night, because school officials are still trying to pay THIS year's bills.

Board members say if they get that money they may not have to cut as much next year.
