Bedford County School board continues to make budget cuts.

million dollars out of its budget request for the next fiscal year.
Most of the proposed cuts in staffing and programs were NOT finalized last
night, because school officials are still trying to pay THIS year's bills.

million dollars to keep the schools afloat until June 30th.
Board members say if they get that money they may not have to cut as much
next year.

A Wytheville couple died in an early morning fire today.
Firefighters arriving at the home on East Liberty Street in Wytheville found
it fully engulfed in flames.
The victims have been identified as 59- year- old Robert Green and 59- year-

Other fishermen pulled him out of the water, but efforts to snare his boat
failed.
It just went around and around for nearly two hours until it finally ran
out of gas.
