The company says the shutdown is a result of its multi million dollar modernization in Danville.

And finally, a number of boxers fighting out of the Victory Gym in the Roanoke City Boxing Association were recognized yesterday by City Council.
Four boxers picked up titles at the recent Virginia Golden Gloves invitational in Norfolk.
Three others were runners-up.
And another won a collegiate championship in Annapolis, Maryland.
Congratulations to these guys and their first batch of honors.

The go-cart race in downtown Roanoke raised roughly 40-thousand dollars for TRUST, more than doubling the trouble center's previous fundraising high.

It says it will probably continue in that role, as long as it believes the race can be run safely.
