not a killer... but he's given up the right to prove his innocence.
Today Jones pled no contest to FIRST degree murder charges for the shooting
death of another 17- year- old.

Antwan Gray was gunned down nearly five months ago on Center Avenue near
Roanoke's Lansdowne Housing Complex.
Jones told police that he was at a relative's house when the crime went
down.
But his defense team felt that his alibi wouldn't have held up during a
trial.
Jones was sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Most Virginians seem to approve of Governor Allen's proclamation of
Confederate History and Heritage month.

The latest News-7/Mason-Dixon research survey says 72 percent of those
questioned liked the idea; 22 percent disapproved.
Even a majority of BLACK voters--54 percent--approved of the proclamation.
The poll shows that the Confederate battle flag is a much more divisive
issue.
72 percent of white voters see it as a symbol of Southern pride and
heritage; 43 percent of the black voters look at it that way.
17 percent of white voters see the battle flag as a racist symbol; 50
percent of the black voters consider it an emblem of racism and slavery.
