The discovery of a body in the James River last night has Appomattox County Sheriffs investigating.
Authorities say two fisherman found the body in the Bent Creek area .
Deputies were called to the scene around six-twenty.
Officials are not releasing any other information at this point.

Maneuvering around sharp corners, operating at low speeds, and coming to a sudden stop were all on the training regimen this week.
They made some mistakes and knocked over a few cones, but gained valuable experience.

Authorities in Appomattox county are searching for clues to an apparent homicide over the weekend.
Officials say two fisherman found a body along the James River in the Bent Creek area last night.

Officials say the body was taken to the medical examniers office in Roanoke in hopes of a positive identification.

Spotsylvania County authorities are getting a lot of help in their investigation into the murders of sisters Kristin and Kati Lisk.
So far, Sheriff Ron Knight says the department has received 16- hundred leads.
