In Camden, New Jersey, a gunman who commandeered a public bus and held the driver hostage has given up.
As the two emerged, the bus-driver had the suspect's gun and tossed it to a police officer.
The bus-driver and two passengers had been held for several hours late this afternoon.
Officials say the gunman fled from a robbery attempt.

The repeal of the trash tag ordinance is one item on a lengthy city council agenda.
Council member Robert Garber has been pushing to get rid of the tags, saying the city doesn't need the revenue the system generates.
Trash tag supporters say getting rid of them would shorten the life of the city landfill and discourage recycling.
Garber announced two weeks ago he had the necessary votes to repeal the ordinance.
Council is still in session and "no" action has been taken yet.

For years, he worked as an anchorman, weatherman and host of a number of live programs, including the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday morning in Lynchburg.
Stapleton died last night after a long battle with prostate cancer.
He was 74.
