Nothing is left of a Radford home following an early morning fire.
The blaze ignited around 3-30 this morning at a house in the 25-hundred
block of Third Street.

The house was fully engulfed when fire fighters arrived.
Crews from Radford and Fairlawn battled the blaze for hours.
But in the end there was nothing they could do.
No one was home when the blaze started and there were no reported injuries.
The fire is still under investigation, but officials say it does not appear
to be suspicious.

A Verona teenager is dead following a single vehicle accident in Rockbridge
County yesterday afternoon.
State police say 14-year-old Barbara Ellen Lamb was a passenger in a truck
driven by Jason W. McManama.
Police say McManama was speeding around a curve on route 7-10.
He swerved off the right side of the road and hit an embankment.
Lamb was thrown from the truck, and died at the scene.

A murder suspect's past criminal record may eventually be the difference
between life and death.

Earl Bramblett is suspected of killing a Vinton family of four, three years
ago.
According to published reports, if convicted, prosecutors in the case plan
to show evidence possibly linking Bramblett to other crimes including sexual
assaults of teenagers and drug offenses.
Defense attorneys are asking that a trial scheduled for next month be
postponed so they can review any new charges or allegations.
A hearing is scheduled for next week.
