18-year old Brandon Wayne Hedrick of Campbell County is charged with capital murder in the death of 23-year old Lisa Yvonne Crider.
Another 18-year old, Trevor Anthony Jones of Lynchburg, faces a murder charge.
Police say information they received last week helped them identify Hedrick and Jones as suspects in Crider's murder.
The two were picked up Saturday afternoon in Lincoln, Nebraska, where Jones traveled to see a family member.

Today King's attorneys argued that the court should have reversed the conviction, because police investigators ignored King's request for a lawyer when interrogating him.

Judge Samuel Wilson did not rule on the matter today.

The Blue Ridge District softball tournament is underway. Tonight; Northside played host to Rockbridge County in a first round match up.

This one was not pretty. We pick it up in the Bottom of the fourth. Northside's Katie Hail connects on the infield single that plates Jenell Holler from third base.
Later in the inning, Holler would score again; this time crossing the plate on a wild pitch.
The Lady Vikings lead 17 to nothing after the fourth and would go on to

advance in the Blue Ridge Tournament with the 17 to nothing victory over the lady Wildcats. Northside will play the winner of the Salem/Christiansburg game.

Radford claimed the Region C girls tennis title today with an easy victory over Galax on the Dedmon Center courts.

The Lady Bobcats have now won the Region eight of the last nine years. The Three Rivers District champions shook off a early morning rain delay to top the Galax maroon Tide; which won the Mountain Empire district crown this season. Radford wins the Region C title with a 8-2 victory.
