The two teenagers police say shot and killed a Lynchburg woman earlier this
month are back in Virginia.
18-year old Brandon Wayne Hedrick of Campbell County is charged with capital
murder in the death of 23-year old Lisa Yvonne Crider.
Another 18-year old, Trevor Anthony Jones of Lynchburg, faces a murder
Police say information they received last week helped them identify Hedrick
and Jones as suspects in Crider's murder.
The two were picked up Saturday afternoon in Lincoln, Nebraska, where Jones
traveled to see a family member.

County facing murder charges.
The 18 year olds were hauled in from
Nebraska on charges of killing Lisa Yvonne Crider.
The 23 year old woman was shot in the head-
her body found in the James River May eleventh.
Last weekend, authorities in Lincoln, Nebraska arrested Brandon Wayne
Hedrick and Trevor Anthony Jones at a relative's home.

an honorable discharge.

Yesterday's event took place behind the Mountain House in old Southwest

The man facing death for the murder of Roanoke County realtor Carolyn
Rogers is asking a federal judge to reverse his conviction.

Danny King's appeal has already been rejected by the Virginia Supreme Court.
Yesterday King's attorneys argued that court should have reversed the
conviction, because police investigators ignored King's request for a lawyer
when interrogating him.
An attorney for the Commonwealth says King never clearly asked for an
attorney and even if he had, he never confessed to police.
Judge Samuel Wilson has not yet issued his ruling on the matter.
Officials in Pittsylvania County put the brakes on a proposed new road in
Designers said the "Old 97 Parkway" would relieve traffic back-ups along
North Main Street and the Franklin Turnpike.
But last night the Pittsylvania County Board of Supervisors unanimously
withdrew the proposal.
The Supervisors say they want Danville officials to consider other plans to
improve the flow of traffic.
Opponents of the plan feared it would have inconvenienced residents who live
along the turnpike and business owners.
A Lynchburg prosecutor has been both a Democrat and an Independent in his 20
years on the job.
Now he's running for re-election as a Republican.
Bill Petty says the GOP has shown it's the only party that's serious about
prosecuting criminals and protecting the public.
Several statewide candidates including attorney general Jim Gilmore attended
Petty's coming- out party.
