John Brown has pleaded guilty to nine counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
This afternoon he got a five year suspended sentence.

As part of his plea agreement, a felony charge of attempted forcible sodomy was reduced to the misdemeanor delinquency charge.
Prosecutors claim Brown invited young boys to his home to play basketball.
They say the games involved alcohol and partial stripping.
Brown refused to comment after the hearing.

It was the best of times and the worst of times for an Arlington man.
He claims a deli owner stole his winning lottery ticket, worth six-point eight million dollars.
The man says the store owner told him he'd won a free ticket, when he had really won the jackpot in the May tenth drawing.
The deli owner claims he found the ticket on the floor--he's been charged with grand larceny.
He's also now suing his accuser and the lottery for the jackpot.
For now, the ticket is in the custody of the state.
A lottery official says there's a lesson in all of this: always sign the back of your ticket.

In other high school sports action today, The Lady Highlanders of Glenvar won the Three Rivers tournament championship tonight.
Glenvar routed Floyd County 13 to 1.
In high school baseball, Bath County captured the Pioneer District title beating Parry McCluer 11 to 1.
And Salem beat William Byrd in the Blue Ridge district 4 to 2 in 8 innings.

Mother Theresa is making an unusual takeout request from a Nashville Coffeehouse.

It all started when a customer at Bongo Java noticed that a cinnamon bun resembled the 86-year old nun.
So the coffeehouse turned it into a counter display...even began selling t-shirts and other items featuring the so called nun-bun.
But Mother Theresa does not allow merchandising with her name or image, even to benefit her own charities.
First her lawyer wrote a letter asking that her image and the bun be shelved.
When that didn't work, Mother Theresa herself wrote a letter.
The owner says he'll quit promoting the display, at least for now.
