After two hours of deliberation, a Montgomery County jury had not reached a verdict.
Jurors are trying to decide if Michael Knowles is guilty of first degree murder.
The Christiansburg man says he didn't intend to kill his wife or wound his daughter.
Jurors returned to the courtroom this afternoon to ask a couple of questions during their deliberations.
But It was an outburst by Knowles that provided the drama today-- Joe Dashiell has more.
