Twenty years is apparently enough for Roanoke Sheriff Alvin Hudson.
He says he's going to retire.
Today, Hudson confirmed he will not run for re-election.
He's stepping down when his current term expires at the end of the year.
Hudson says it was a difficult decision to make, one that he wrestled with
up until Saturday's filing deadline.
