some late breaking news to report-- a fire is forcing the evacuation of dozens
of people at Bedford County Memorial Hospital at this hour.
Less than 30-minutes ago, fire crews were dispatched to the hospital for a
blaze that broke out on the third floor.
Nearby fire crews are responding to the call.
So far no word on the cause or injuries at this point.
NEWS-7 has crews at the hospital and will have an update.

The Independent Pilot's Association has just made public an incident from
last week-- a quote-- "near miss" that occurred about 200 miles west of
Ireland.
The pilots of Air Force One say they didn't regard a cargo plane flying in
the opposite direction as a threat to their aircraft, but did change course.
The I-P-A says the planes were within seven seconds of each other.

125-salaried positions were eliminated today.
Some employees say they were told there's not enough work.
The company that designs and manufactures control systems for large
industrial machines says "the action is necessary to enhance the
competitiveness of the GE business in Salem."
G-E noted this move won't impact its hourly workforce..this time it's the 30
to- 60- thousand- dollar- a- year jobs.
