So yesterday, city auditor Bob Byrd handed down a list of recommendations to improve Roanoke's personal property estimate system.
He says by automating it, the process would be virtually error-free.
Commissioner of Revenue Marsha Compton Fielder has been criticized for under assessing some vehicles in recent years.
Fielder says she selected a gradual increase instead of a radical one for those vehicle owners.

A Franklin county moonshiner is once again in trouble with the law--
Another malicious wounding charge for Dee Stanley.

At an April preliminary hearing, the judge dismissed the case, because Scott Stanley could not remember much about the incident.
Yesterday Franklin County prosecutor Cliff Hapgood got an indictment from the grand jury.
