WDBJ-7 is being sued by Crenshaws TV and Appliance Stores for a series of stories we aired last year.

The suit refers to a series of reports WDBJ-7 aired about Crenshaw's purchase of Holdrens stores in Roanoke and Lynchburg.

Crenshaws says after the reports, sales decreased significantly.

WDBJ-7 General Manager Bob Lee called the lawsuit "ridiculous", and said the station would withhold further comment pending consultation with its attorneys.
In March, WDBJ-7 filed a lawsuit against Crenshaws over nearly 50 thousand dollars in unpaid bills for advertising purchased months after the station aired the warranty reports.
The issue of Crenshaw's warranty coverage was investigated by the Virginia Office Of Consumer Affairs, which referred the matter to the state Attorney General's Office for review and possible enforcement action.
