because of a fire some 15 hours ago.
Emergency crews were forced to evacuate more than 80 people last night from
Bedford Memorial Hospital.

A twelve year old Northwest Roanoke girl says she was gang-raped yesterday
afternoon.
The girl told police she let three teenage boys into her home, and began
having consensual sex with one of them in a bedroom.
She says several other boys entered the home and came into the room and
raped her.
The girl said between 7 or 8 boys, between the ages of 16 and 18 were
involved.
Police say there was evidence of an attack in the bedroom.
So far, they haven't found any of the suspects.

Authorities in Spotsylvania County have searched an abandoned house for
clues in the murders of two sisters.
The Washington Post says the search turned up fibers and carpet stains.
A source familiar with the killing of Kati and Kristin Lisk also told the
newspaper the girls died from asphyxiation.
The sisters disappeared May first after getting off school buses near their
home.
Their bodies were found five days later in the South Ana river, about 40
miles away.
