Investigators are searching for the cause of a fire in Northeast Roanoke this morning.

The house in the 800 block of Palmer Road was fully engulfed with flames shooting out the windows when firefighters arrived on the scene shortly after three a-m.
The Booth family made it out of the house safely.
They called the fire department from a relative's house across the street.
The house was destroyed in the overnight blaze.

After looking at the wreckage from Tuesday's fatal plane crash in Montgomery County investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board have more insight into the crash.
But it could take months before the cause is found.

Inside, members of the Chamblissburg Ruritan Club have been counting the number of cars and trucks that go by.
The Virginia Department of Transportation says the flow of traffic on Route 24 has remained the same in recent years.
But these volunteers believe it's increasing.
They're hoping that high volumes of traffic will force V-DOT to add extra lanes... or at the very least, widen the road.

By that time, Davis was already on the campaign trail--hoping to win the Republican nod for state Attorney General.
