A bank robbery suspect is still at large tonight.
The National Bank of Blacksburg on Route 460 was held up today at gunpoint about 3:45.
Authorities say the suspect apparently took a taxi to the bank and then stole the vehicle.
The taxi was recovered a short time later outside Montgomery Regional Hospital.
The suspect is described as a white male, six feet tall, wearing a gray T- shirt, faded blue jeans and aviator sun glasses.

A man accused of killing a Spotsylvania teen last year may be off the hook.

The state crime lab wrongly determined fibers taken from the victim matched fibers from Karl Michael Roush's van.
16 year old Sofia Silva was abducted from her home last September.
Her body was found in a creek 30 miles away.

The Silva case came to the forefront after a similar abduction and murders of two sisters- also in Spotsylvania.

Franklin County Speedway filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Despite his efforts to raise 20-thousand dollars to stall foreclosure on the track, Taylor's attorney filed the bankruptcy petition this morning.
It lists 170-thousand dollars in assets. One hundred -SIXTY- five thousand in debts.
A reorganization and payment plan is expected to be worked out in the next couple weeks to pay Taylor's creditors.
Meantime, the track is still open.
