One man was killed this afternoon in a construction accident on Route 460 in
the city of Bedford.
Reginald Falls stepped behind a dump truck which was getting ready to unload
gravel for the re-paving of the westbound lane.
Police say the driver of the truck did not see Falls and struck him with the
wheels of the vehicle.
Falls died at the scene.

A man who allegedly robbed a Montgomery County bank at gunpoint this
afternoon is still at large.

((Neighbors say Sofia Silva's parents believe in prayer, so they put an angel
in her room. A murderer stole their daughter and Monday a mistake took away
their best lead.

It was hard on a whole town. Spotsylvania is a small place where parents love
their children and few families lock their doors. A lifestyle shattered when
the Silva girl was kidnapped and killed last year.
And then the Lisk sisters abducted and murdered eight months later.
The 2 cases seem similar but a suspect in the Silva crime was already behind
bars.
But Monday the Virginia State Crime Lab admitted one of their examiners
mishandled evidence so their suspect is apparently the wrong guy. That means 3
murders remain mysteries.

A doctor in Roanoke is using a new technique to detect gall bladder disease.

It was originally used to spot cancer.
The patient is under sedation while a gasto-scope is inserted into the
esophagus until it reaches the stomach.
Using an ultrasound probe the doctor can search the gall bladder for stones
and signs of disease.

Santa hopefuls of all shapes and sizes are singing, dancing and Ho Ho
Ho-ing.
The show runs Novemver 6 to January 4th.
