A man accused of killing a Spotsylvania teenager may be off the hook.
A mistake at the state crime lab has cast doubt on evidence against the suspect, Karl Michael Roush.
An examiner wrongly determined that fibers taken from the victim, 16 year old Sofia Silva, matched fibers from Roush's van.
That examiner resigned today, after 12 years on the job.
Silva was abducted from outside her home after school last September.
Her body was found in a creek about 30 miles away.

Their bodies were found five days later in a river about 40 miles from their home.
Authorities are NOT ruling out a link between the murder cases.
