The school board, in a unanimous vote, selected Frederick Morton for the position.
He'll replace Herman Barlett.
Morton is currently working for a school system, near Buffalo.
Before moving to New York, he worked in Covington and Albemarle County.
He's expected to begin his four year contract in August.

Construction starts in about two weeks.

A 44- year- old Pulaski resident is in stable condition after being hospitalized with (Meningo-cosee-mia) meningococcemia.
The patient is an employee at RADVA Corporation.
This particular infection is not the central nervous system infection-- meningitis, but it can be contagious and can CAUSE meningitis.
Only those in the patient's household will undergo antibiotic treatments.
About 70 cases of meningitis are reported each year in Virginia.
So far,-- there have been 27 cases in the state.
