Another late night for the Bedford County School Board as it decides whether
to hold School Superintendent John Kent responsible for the county's school

What are the possible outcomes.
Police shut down interstate 81 for a couple of hours earlier this
after this tractor trailor wrecked near the 118-mile marker northbound.
A car apparently ran the tractor trailor off the road.
The truck driver walked away from the accident with minor injuries.
And, there were no charges filed against the driver of the truck.
Police say a Roanoke city employee who accidentally ran over a boy with a
city-owned vehicle will NOT be charged with wrongdoing.
Eight-year old Markese (mar-Keese) Terry of Roanoke apparently did not
notice a stop sign as he rode his bike through the intersection of Orange
Avenue and 12th Street around one-o'clock.
Traffic Bureau investigators say the bike did not have brakes.
Terry is in critical condition at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
More evidence that may link the murders of two sisters in Spotsylvania to
the killing of another teenager there.
Two of the bodies were both found with their genital areas shaved-
bolstering the possibility they were killed by the same person.
An autopsy shows 16-year old Sofia Silva had been shaved when her body was
found last October.
And WUSA-TV in Washington quotes sources as saying 15 year old Kristin Lisk
had also been shaved.
Her body was found with her 12-year old sister last month.
The cases have other similarities. Sofia and the Lisk sisters
disappeared from their homes shortly after school- all of the bodies were found

Timothy McVeigh did not find out his fate tonight.
Jurors will resume deliberations tomorrow.
They're deciding whether McVeigh should die for the Oklahoma City bombing.
The defense argued McVeigh's crime was political-- not like a serial
killer-- and therefore he deserved life in prison, not execution.
In what prosecutors would later liken to a terroristic threat, McVeigh's
lawyer inferred that an execution would threaten what he called domestic

Prosecutors today told jurors-- McVeigh's no patriot, he's a traitor who

Nova says 60 percent of minors seeking abortions already involve their
parents in the decision.
He says nine percent of all the abortions Planned Parenthood performs are
done on minors.

A drive-by shooting left Lynchburg College senior Edward "Bernie"

was given a 50- year prison term at the tender age of 16.

Roanoke City is in the process of buying Garden City.
So far the city's bought seven homes in the flood prone neighborhood.
The city is using a combination of federal, state and local funds to
purchase the properties.
39 homes qualify for the program.
After the sale the city will be responsible for maintaining the property.

Reed says this is a voluntary buy-out program.
He says residents receive a purchase agreement based on an independent
