Eight-year old Markese (mar-Keese) Terry of Roanoke apparently did not notice a stop sign as he rode his bike through the intersection of Orange Avenue and 12th Street around one-o'clock.
Traffic Bureau investigators say the bike did not have brakes.
Terry is in critical condition at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

More evidence that may link the murders of two sisters in Spotsylvania to the killing of another teenager there.

Two of the bodies were both found with their genital areas shaved- bolstering the possibility they were killed by the same person.
An autopsy shows 16-year old Sofia Silva had been shaved when her body was found last October.
And WUSA-TV in Washington quotes sources as saying 15 year old Kristin Lisk had also been shaved.

The cases have other similarities. Sofia and the Lisk sisters disappeared from their homes shortly after school- all of the bodies were found in water.
