It might sound a little strange, but researchers are now looking at whether

OUT Q=NAT SOUND BEES!
For years, MS sufferers themselves, have reported that bee venom provides
relief from this crippling disease which slowly affects the nervous system--
ultimately resulting in paralysis.
Right now doctors treat MS with anti-inflammatory drugs like prednisone but
bee venom is believed to work differently and may actually give the immune
system a boost to fight the disease on it's own.
IN Q=To friends
((STEVE SHAPIRO: TO FRIENDS WHO SAY IT'S IN YOUR MIND, I SAY'I'M NOT TAKING
PREDNISONE ANYMORE. ))
But researchers don't want patients to jump to the conclusion that bee
venom is a cure.
In fact, there could be serious side effects that patients need to be aware
of like dangerous allergic reactions.
The maker of a lyme disease vaccine, Connaught Laboraties--
will seek approval from the Food and Drug Administration to market the product
within the next few years.
Lyme Disease causes a rash, arthritis and flulike symptoms.
It can be treated with antibiotics-- if left untreated it can lead to heart,
nervous system and joint problems.
Sugar and spice and everything nice might just be in the genes--
