this afternoon.
This wasn't an easy seizure, though.
A locksmith finally had to be called to get the repossession underway.
Crenshaw's Roanoke store was closed for business today.
Crenshaw got off to a bad start here last year when it purchased the
Holdren's appliance chain, began honoring its extended warranties, then
stopped...explaining it only bought Holdren's assets, not its liabilities.
It has also been sued by this station, WDBJ-7, for failure to pay its
advertising bills.
Crenshaw then sued WDBJ, claiming our coverage of last year's events hurt
its bottom line.

Spotsylvania County authorities say they arrested the wrong man.

Abduction charges against Karl Roush were dropped today.
Roush was accused of kidnapping 16 year old Sofia Silva, who was later
found murdered.
The charges were based on fiber evidence from the Virginia state crime lab.
Last week, authorities learned the lab made a mistake analyzing the fibers.
The move re-opens the possibility that Silva's murder is linked to the
killings of Kristin and Kati Lisk.
Autopsy reports show similarities in the crimes.

Police say 31 year old James Goodwin of Cedar Bluff took off from a private

But a new study suggests the damage could be much more significant.
A Tufts University Researcher has found that smokers are twice as likely to
LOSE their teeth, compared to non-smokers.
The long-range study finds that periodontal disease is worse among those
who smoke cigarettes.
