A Lexington man and his wife walked away from the crash of their small plane in Rockingham County.
The two-seater went down yesterday when it struck a power pole at a small airstrip between Harrisonburg and Singers Glen.
Pilot Leon Johenning said he was making a landing approach at a grass-strip airfield when the accident occurred.
The plane struck the pole, slammed to the ground and overturned.
The crash knocked out power briefly to two dozen customers of Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative.
