Delegates at the Southern Baptist convention vote to boycott Disney-
They're urging all 15 million members to boycott Disney theme parks, stores,
and subsidiaries- including the ABC network.

Disney is a company well-known for it's child-friendly movies.
But today the Southern Baptist Convention said Disney is too gay-friendly.
In Dallas today, the Convention voted overwhelmingly to boycott the Magic
Kingdom and its empire.

attitude towards homosexuality.
The company provides health benefits to the partners of gay employees-- and
it allows "gay-days" at it's theme parks.
So the convention is urging the boycott of all Disney holdings...
Including theme parks, ABC Television stations, and even the NHL's mighty
Ducks, and major league baseball's Anaheim Angels.

The U-S Senate passed a bil that will prevent Timothy McVeigh from being
buried in a national cemetery.
The bill denies burial and other veterans benefits- to any veteran convicted

On March 13th people flooded police lines with sightings of these lights.
The sighting lasted for 106 minutes and could be seen for 60 miles.
Some witnesses say they saw a V-shaped object with seven lights.
One U-F-O enthusiast says his computer analysis shows the object was six
thousand feet in the air and traveled at a speed of 30 miles an hour.
He says the number of witnesses make this sighting unusual.

It did not take long for Jeff Hostetler to find a new job. Just one day
after being released by the Oakland Raiders.
The veteran quarterback has signed with the Washington Redskins.
Hoss is coming in to washington as Gus Frerotte's back up. Hostetler
appeared in 13 games in 1996 completing 60 percent of his passes for 2
thousand, 548 yards and 23 touchdowns with 14 interceptions. Good stats; but
the Raiders were 7 and 9 and tied for last place in the AFC West.
Double A minor league baseball's Carolina Mudcats manager Marc Hill
resigned today to become an instructor for the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Hillcats manager Jeff Bannister will replace Hill and become the sixth
manager in team history. The 32 year old Bannister has managed Lynchburg to a
94 and 104 record since taking the job at the beginning of the 1996 season.
It's not the major leagues, But fans in Pulaski have waited for 5 years to
get baseball back in the town.

Baltimore lost to the Montreal Expos 1-nothing this afternoon. But the day
turned out to be a victory for one Oriole.

Eric Davis was released from John Hopkins Hospital after receiving surgery
for colon cancer. A hospital spokesperson says that Davis was with his family
and looked in good health. Davis is expected to make a full recovery. He's
heading home to California to recuperate.

stepped down as the Terriers head coach; just 8 days after winning the school's
first ever baseball state championship.
